Measuring a Free Form Liner - Accuracy is Key!

We just completed the installation on a Free Form, liner in Irving, TX.

Tape marking the edges of the pool is extremely important. This allows us to capture the complete external dimensions by a process of Triangulation.

We captured two sets of measurements for each tape marking and generated a list of A & B Measurements. This was then submitted to our vendor Latham Pool Products for a 2D Drawing of the pool perimeter.

We then reviewed and approved the drawing and submitted our order. At this point, the liner goes into production and takes 3-5 business days to ship. We had this liner installed within 7 business days of our initial measurement.

I could not be happier with my new liner that I purchased from Juan! He was quick, accurate and kept me informed throughout the entire process. I will definitely use him again if I ever have to replace another liner.

Replacing Your Liner Track

Your Liner Track is the backbone of your Vinyl Liner so it is essential that this remains in good condition. Like all things, however, these aluminum rails can wear down and require replacing.

It is time to replace your liner track when you notice the following:

  • Bent or chipped receivers - this is the part that holds the liner in place
  • Rust developing along the edge or liner - this can cause future tears
  • Missing pieces of track or track that won't line up properly.

If you start to notice any of these signs, it is best to have this track serviced by a pool professional. It is much cheaper to replace an 8' section of liner track than it is to replace your whole liner due to a tear.
